𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝒔𝒂𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒂 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚| Roxas Campus held a seminar and drill on fire and earthquake yesterday, March 21, 2023, at the campus’ Matusalem site. With the theme, “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog Hindi ka Nag-iisa,” the Roxas BFP Officers served as the resource speakers on the different safety protocols when dealing with fire and earthquake emergencies.
This activity specifically aimed to capacitate the participants on identifying risks in their workplace, homes, and community, determine the factors that caused the risks, show the functions of the different School Risk and Reduction committees, and illustrate how to address the risks.
The seminar and drill, which the students and faculty members joined, aligned with the Fire Prevention Month and Republic Act No. 10121, otherwise known as the “Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010.” The campus endorsed this activity to show its continuous support of government programs and activities.
The same set of activities will also be conducted at the campus Rang-ayan site on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
