Dr. Januard D. Dagdag, a mathematics teacher educator at ISU Roxas Campus, representing the Cauayan Cluster, secured first place in the Higher Education category during the University Agency In-House Review for the university level, which was held on October 28, 2024, at ISU Angadanan Campus. Dr. Dagdag presented his research paper, “Theorizing the Non-Realization of Desired Program Outcomes in Mathematics Teacher Education,” which examines obstacles that prevent aspiring mathematics teachers from reaching essential program outcomes. His study offers valuable insights into curriculum design, instructional methods, and educator skills within mathematics teacher education.

The University Agency In-House Review is an annual event organized by Isabela State University to recognize exceptional research and extension initiatives across its campuses. This year, participants included the top researchers from each of the university’s three clustersโ€”Echague, Cauayan, and Cabaganโ€”who competed in each of four categories: Higher Education, Social, Technical, and Technological. This competitive review process provides a platform for outstanding researchers and extensionists to present their work at the university level, contributing to ISU’s vision to become a leading research university.
