At the 2024 Cauayan Cluster Extension Review for On-going and Completed Projects and University Agency In-House Review, Isabela State University (ISU)-Roxas Campus excelled, winning prestigious awards in both the extension and research categories. The event, held recently, brought together faculty and staff from the Cauayan Clusterโ€”which consists of ISU-Roxas, ISU-Cauayan, and ISU-San Mateoโ€”to showcase their on-going and completed projects, as well as research papers focusing on academic and community development.

ISU-Roxas faculty members made noteworthy presentations at the event, which showcased the wide range of research papers and ongoing and completed projects across multiple categories, demonstrating the significant effort being done within the Cauayan Cluster.

In the research category, Dr. Januard D. Dagdag clinched First Place with his paper titled “๐™๐™๐™š๐™ค๐™ง๐™ž๐™ฏ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™‰๐™ค๐™ฃ-๐™๐™š๐™–๐™ก๐™ž๐™ฏ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ ๐™ค๐™› ๐˜ฟ๐™š๐™จ๐™ž๐™ง๐™š๐™™ ๐™‹๐™ง๐™ค๐™œ๐™ง๐™–๐™ข ๐™Š๐™ช๐™ฉ๐™˜๐™ค๐™ข๐™š๐™จ ๐™ž๐™ฃ ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™๐™š๐™ข๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™˜๐™จ ๐™๐™š๐™–๐™˜๐™๐™š๐™ง ๐™€๐™™๐™ช๐™˜๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ.”The study critiqued the program outcomes in mathematics teacher education and generated a theory explaining the discrepancies between expected outcomes and attained outcomes, offering valuable insights into improving mathematics education.

In the extension category, ISU-Roxas’ project titled “๐™Ž๐™ž๐™ข๐™ฅ๐™ก๐™ž๐™›๐™ž๐™š๐™™ ๐™ƒ๐™ฎ๐™™๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฅ๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™˜๐™จ ๐™›๐™ค๐™ง ๐™’๐™ค๐™ข๐™š๐™ฃ: ๐˜พ๐™ค๐™ข๐™ข๐™ช๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ฎ ๐™‚๐™–๐™ง๐™™๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™–๐™จ ๐™– ๐™ˆ๐™š๐™–๐™ฃ๐™จ ๐™ค๐™› ๐™€๐™ข๐™–๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™ž๐™ฅ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™’๐™ค๐™ข๐™š๐™ฃ,” presented by Mr. Alvin P. Ramos, earned 3rd Place in the Best Completed Extension Project. The project, a collaboration between Alvin Ramos, Bladyner Da Jose, and Jayson Castaรฑeda, promotes sustainable hydroponic gardening and empowers women by providing them with opportunities for livelihood and community leadership, while advancing gender equality.

The review’s initiatives and actions are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nation, specifically SDGs 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), and 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). The university’s dedication to supporting academic achievement, community empowerment, and sustainable development is embodied in the extension and research efforts of ISU-Roxas.
