The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) held its much-awaited event, the Tech4ED Regional Awards 2024 on November 20, 2024 at The Hotel Sophia Events Place, San Fermin, Cauayan City, Isabela. This prestigious event served as a platform to recognize and celebrate the efforts of various institutions, government agencies, schools and state universities that have played an important role in revitalizing and sustaining the purpose of the Tech4ED Centers, which have become essential in providing digital literacy services especially to the people belonged in the marginalized group across the region.

This initiative caused the various institutions, government agencies schools and state universities to reignite the Tech4ED Centers, as the Regional Director of DICT Region II, Engr. Pinky T. Jimenez, PECE, PhD., continue to encourage sustainability of services offered by the Tech4ED Centers.

The respective stakeholders of the DICT were very enthused in the event for the awaiting recognition of the outstanding and emerging Tech4ED Centers regionwide. As the event goes, the University Library of ISU Echague Campus obtained a spot, a 5th Place in the Category of COVID 19 Pandemic Response. This recognition was significant given the challenging circumstances of the pandemic and the vital role that Tech4ED Centers played in supporting communities through digital solutions.

To express the gratitude of the DICT Region II team, the Isabela State University โ€“ Roxas Campus along with the other library campuses also received an appreciation from the said awarding body.

To conclude, the attendees at the ceremony were not only there to reveled the achievements but to reaffirm their purpose: to continue fostering innovation, ensuring digital inclusion, and driving sustainability in the services provided by Tech4ED. The recognition given to various stakeholders serves as an inspiration for others to follow the practice, making the event a thrilling and purposeful celebration of technologyโ€™s role in community development.
