The Isabela State University (ISU) – Roxas Campus proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of its Campus Administrator, Dr. Rosalyn L. Bautista, who was awarded the Best Paper Award in the Entrepreneurship Category during the Philippine Association of Extension Program Implementors, Inc. (PAEPI, Inc.) International Extension Conference. The conference, held at Maejo University in Chiang Mai, Thailand, runs from December 11 to 15, 2024, and brings together researchers, scientists, and extension practitioners from the Philippines and abroad.

Dr. Bautista’s winning paper, titled “PITAYA (Dragon Fruit) DAGDAG KITA,” highlights innovative approaches to empowering communities through sustainable dragon fruit farming. The research emphasizes the potential of this agribusiness venture to provide additional income for local farmers while fostering environmental sustainability and entrepreneurship.
