On September 12, 2024, the Higher Education Research and Innovation (HERAI) team of Isabela State University (ISU) conducted a system demonstration and user training to the faculty and staff in- charged of the Quality Education at the T. Woodward Conference Hall on the Roxas Campus. This event aimed to align the system with the Universityโ€™s Sustainable Development Goals, particularly focusing on Quality Education (SDG 4), in order to enhance its impact ranking in Times Higher Education.

Dr. Rosalyn L. Bautista, the Campus Administrator of ISUR, welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of this activity in advancing quality education. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to hold the event in person. Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Charibel R. Sarte, the Academic Affairs Director, introduced the participants from various offices, including Academics, Research, Extension, Student Services, and Planning and Information Management Systems.

Dr. Edward B. Panganiban, the Program Leader of HERAI, provided an overview of the project, while Ms. Renalyn G. Tecson, one of the project leaders, explained the purpose of the system. Dr. Albert A. Vinluan detailed the mechanics of the user training, and Mr. Jenefer P. Bermusa facilitated the training session.

The participants grouped according to their office functions and engaged actively in the training, which resulted in significant learning outcomes, particularly in updating and uploading data for reports, analytics, and assessments of the University’s various programs and processes. In her closing remarks, Dr. Janet P. Cunanan, the Campus Director for Research, congratulated everyone on their active participation and the valuable insights shared by the resource speakers.

In addition to advancing the goal of quality education (SDG 4), the seminar-training using HERAI underscores the Universityโ€™s commitment to continuous innovation (SDG 9) and strong partnerships (SDG 17) for common goals.
