Roxas, Isabela – May 16, 2024: The Isabela State University Roxas Campus held a momentous Groundbreaking Ceremony cum Stakeholders Forum at the ISUR Rang-ayan Gymnasium. The event marked the commencement of the construction of state-of-the-art gender-responsive infrastructures, aimed at fostering an inclusive and supportive academic environment.
Asso. Prof. Charibel R. Sarte, Campus Academic Affairs Director, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and stakeholders. The forum was graced by the presence of notable local leaders including Roxas Municipal Mayor Jonathan C. Calderon, Gamu Municipal Mayor Timoteo N. Galanza, ISUR Campus Administrator Dr. Rosalyn L. Bautista, and ISU Vice-President for Administration and Finance, Atty. Romano P. Cammayo. Each delivered inspiring messages highlighting the importance of gender-responsive infrastructure in enhancing educational outcomes and community development.
Asst. Prof. Joey C. Cereno, Director for Planning, Management Information, and Services, alongside Campus Architect Bernalea D. Alibuyog, presented the campus’s proposed infrastructure projects, detailing the innovative machineries and equipment that will be incorporated. These projects are designed with the principles of gender sensitivity and inclusivity, ensuring equitable access and benefits for all students and staff.
The Multipurpose Building is supported and funded by Congressman Faustino Michael Carlos T. Dy. This state-of-the-art facility is set to become a hub for various academic and extracurricular activities, fostering a holistic learning environment. All stakeholders present at the event pledged their unwavering commitment and support towards the construction and successful completion of this landmark project.
The event culminated with the ceremonial groundbreaking for the Multipurpose Building, led by Congressman Dy, alongside the local government units of Roxas, university and campus officials. This symbolic act marked the official start of the construction phase, setting the stage for future advancements in the campus infrastructure.
