Isabela State University (ISU) Roxas Campus participated in the recently concluded Two-Day Workshop on 2025 GAD Planning and Budgeting and Times Higher Education Impact Ranking (THEIR) held at La Sunshine Hotel and Resort, Dinadiawan, Aurora, from August 28-30, 2024.
The workshop featured presentations by Ms. Ludivina T. Potot, the Division Chief of Budget and Management Specialist at DBMRO2. She covered key topics such as (1) an introduction to GAD Planning and Budgeting, (2) Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines and Process of Attribution, and (3) Gender Analysis Tools and Techniques for ISU, followed by a hands-on workshop. Ms. Potot emphasized significant issues concerning the Region’s GAD Attribution and celebrated ISU’s achievements in promoting gender equality. Notably, ISU has completed its GAD Manual, which, upon review and publication, will make ISU the first State University and College (SUC) in Region 2 to have such a document.
During the workshop, ISU Roxas Campus, along with other campuses, was tasked with preparing their January to August 2024 Accomplishment Report, January 2023 to July 2024 GMEF Scores, September to November Catch-Up Plan, and the 2025 GAD Plan and Budget. Following these activities, GAD Focal Persons from each campus presented their reports.
On the second day, Ms. Ana Marie M. Bahala, the Project Manager of QS, discussed ISU’s performance in the Impact Ranking, particularly in relation to SDG 5 (Gender Equality). She highlighted that ISU’s efforts in gender equality are progressing well, aligning with other indicators in the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking.
