In a vibrant celebration of the Philippine Bamboo Month and World Bamboo Day, themed “Buhay-Kawayan: Haligi ng Industriya’t Kalikasan, Pag-asa sa Kinabukasan,” ISU-Roxas took a significant step towards environmental sustainability by conducting a bamboo planting activity at the campus mid-site and AgriTech farm.
This initiative saw the planting of 100 bamboo seedlings, generously donated by the Environmental and Natural Resources Office of the Provincial Government of Isabela. By embracing bamboo, a vital resource for both industry and the environment, our campus is not only enhancing local biodiversity but also fostering a sustainable future.
This event aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17, which emphasizes partnerships for the goals, showcasing our commitment to collaborative efforts that drive meaningful change in our communities. Let’s build a greener future, together. We’re committed to fighting climate change and achieving SDG 13: Climate Action.
