ROXAS, ISABELA β July 9, 2026 β Isabela State University (ISU) Roxas Campus celebrated its 48th Founding Anniversary through a day of service, recognition, and unity, highlighting the University’s achievements and its continuing journey toward becoming a Smart-Green University.
The celebration began in the morning with a Tree Planting Activity and Community Outreach Program, reflecting the University’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community development. These activities showcased ISU’s vision of becoming a model Smart-Green University that promotes innovation, responsible stewardship of resources, and positive societal transformation.
In the afternoon, faculty members, staff, officials, and guests gathered for the Araw ng Parangal, a special recognition program honoring employees, retirees, outstanding performers, and campus leaders whose dedication and hard work continue to contribute to the growth and success of the University.
The program opened with a prayer led by Dr. Ma. Valen D. Alzate, Program Chair of IICT, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the ISU Hymn. Inspirational messages were delivered by Mr. Rodel P. Sarmiento, Director General of the Campus Foundation Celebration; Atty. Romano P. Cammayo, DPA, Campus Administrator; Prof. Isagani P. Angeles, Jr., PhD, Vice President for Planning and Development and Director General of the 48th Founding Anniversary; and Prof. Boyet L. Batang, PhD, University President.
In their messages, the speakers emphasized the importance of working together to advance quality education, impactful research, meaningful extension services, innovation, and environmental responsibility as the University continues to move toward its Smart-Green vision.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the recognition of the University’s Loyalty Awardees, who have dedicated years of service in helping ISU fulfill its mission and vision.
