The GAD Capacity Building Activity of Isabela State University–Roxas Campus was conducted on September 30 to October 1, 2026, at Balai Baibai Beach Resort, Gonzaga, Cagayan. The activity aimed to strengthen the participants’ knowledge, awareness and understanding of Gender and Development (GAD) and its importance in creating a gender-responsive and inclusive academic community.

The activity featured Dr. Wendy Joy M. Garma as the Resource Speaker, who shared valuable insights and relevant information on GAD concepts, gender equality, inclusivity and empowerment. Her discussion provided participants with practical perspectives that can be applied in the university’s programs, projects, and activities.

Participants actively engaged in the discussions and interactive activities, allowing them to exchange ideas and experiences related to GAD implementation. The activity also promoted teamwork, collaboration and camaraderie among the participants.

Overall, the capacity-building activity was a meaningful learning experience that enhanced the participants’ awareness and commitment to promoting gender equality, respect, inclusivity and empowerment within the university community.
