Roxas, Isabela | July 8, 2026 — Isabela State University (ISU) Roxas Campus proudly celebrated its 2026 Commencement Exercises at the Roxas Arts, Culture and Sports Complex, honoring 680 graduates from its graduate and undergraduate programs. The ceremony also recognized 46 Latin Honor recipients, composed of 2 Magna Cum Laude and 44 Cum Laude, whose outstanding academic achievements exemplified the University’s pursuit of excellence.
The ceremony brought together members of the University Board of Regents, university officials, faculty members, staff, alumni, parents, families, and distinguished guests in a meaningful celebration of academic success and new beginnings.
The commencement exercises formally opened with the Academic Procession, followed by the Entrance of Colors, Graduation Prayer, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the ISU Hymn, and the Presentation of Candidates for Graduation by Atty. Romano P. Cammayo, DPA, Campus Administrator.
The graduates were formally presented to the University through the Address of Petition delivered by Prof. Dr. Precila C. Delima, Vice President for Academic Affairs, while the Address of Concession was delivered by Prof. Dr. Boyet L. Batang, SUC President IV.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the inspiring commencement address delivered by Dr. Gina P. Nilo, former Director IV of the Bureau of Soils and Water Management, Department of Agriculture. Drawing from her own life journey, Dr. Nilo reminded the graduates that every diploma represents years of sacrifice, perseverance, and God’s grace. She encouraged the Class of 2026 to pursue excellence with humility, embrace lifelong learning, uphold integrity, and use their education in service of their communities and the nation.
She also challenged the graduates to welcome change with courage, emphasizing that success is determined not by one’s circumstances but by the willingness to work hard, continue learning, and serve others with compassion and integrity. Anchoring her message on faith, she encouraged the graduates to trust God’s plan as they begin a new chapter of their lives.
The University conferred degrees upon 680 graduates, consisting of:

A special highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of 46 Latin Honor recipients, including 2 Magna Cum Laude and 44 Cum Laude, composed of 15 male and 31 female graduates. Their outstanding academic performance reflects not only intellectual excellence but also discipline, resilience, and unwavering commitment to their studies.
Representing the graduating class, one of the University’s Magna Cum Laude graduates delivered the Address of Thanks, leaving a lasting impression through the inspiring metaphor of a blank sheet of paper. Comparing the graduates’ first day in college to an empty page waiting to be filled, the student reminded everyone that success does not begin with certainty or perfection but with the courage to make the first step.
Reflecting on the challenges encountered throughout college—including the uncertainties brought by the pandemic—the student speaker emphasized that true excellence is achieved not because a person never fails, but because they never stop trying. The address also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the University’s administrators, faculty members, staff, parents, families, friends, and above all, to God, whose guidance and blessings made every achievement possible.
The graduates received their diplomas during the Imposition of Hoods and Distribution of Diplomas led by Prof. Dr. Boyet L. Batang, SUC President IV; Prof. Dr. Precila C. Delima, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Atty. Romano P. Cammayo, DPA, Campus Administrator; Assoc. Prof. Charibel R. Sarte, MST, Director for Academic Affairs; Mr. Dexter M. Pascual, LLB, Campus Registrar; together with the respective Program Chairpersons.
The ceremony concluded with the graduates’ Pledge of Loyalty to the Alma Mater, the Address of Thanks, the Induction into the ISU-R Alumni Association, the singing of the University Hymn, and the Academic Recessional.
Under the leadership of Atty. Romano P. Cammayo, DPA, ISU Roxas Campus continues to uphold its commitment to producing competent, innovative, globally competitive, and socially responsible graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to contribute meaningfully to national development.
As the Class of 2026 embarks on new journeys beyond the University, they carry not only the diplomas they have earned but also the lessons shared throughout the ceremony—that every success is built through perseverance, every new beginning starts with courage, and every achievement is made meaningful through faith, service, and gratitude.
Congratulations, ISU Roxas Campus Class of 2026!
