In its pursuit of continuous campus enhancement, ISU Roxas representatives, led by Campus Administrator Dr. Rosalyn L. Bautista, seized the opportunity on September 6, 2024, to present an infrastructure project—the completion of the gymnasium at the New Site—to Honorable Faustino G. Dy III, Vice Governor of Isabela.

Mr. Joey C. Cereno, Director for PMISGAD, detailed the plans and objectives of the proposed project. Additionally, Dr. Jane C. Caliboso, Director of the Office of Student Affairs, highlighted the potential benefits of the project for the campus community, particularly for the students, once realized. Dr. Bautista emphasized the campus’s alignment with the university’s vision and its commitment to addressing various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The discussion concluded on a positive note, with a promising outlook for ISU Roxas’ proposed project to receive support from the Vice Governor’s office. This initiative intersects with several SDGs, including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), as it aims to enhance student wellness through improved recreational facilities. Furthermore, the project aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing students with access to quality infrastructure that supports their educational experience. In line with SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), the project represents a commitment to advancing infrastructure development on the campus. By promoting sustainable development and creating inclusive spaces, the project also contributes to SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

Moreover, the emphasis on responsible resource allocation and development practices reflects adherence to SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and fosters a supportive environment consistent with SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
