The Isabela State University (ISU)–Roxas Campus proudly celebrates Dr. Rosalyn L. Bautista for showcasing her innovative food product, Jamato Ice Cream (Tomato Jam Ice Cream), during the 2nd Technology Transfer Day 2026 held on October 22, 2026, at Café Maya, San Andres, Santiago City, Isabela.
Dr. Bautista presented the product as one of the featured technologies of Isabela State University during the event, which brought together researchers, technology developers, potential adopters, investors, and industry partners. The activity aimed to help transform locally developed research into practical products and business opportunities.
Carrying the theme, “From Local Research to Living Enterprise: Linking Cagayan Valley’s Technologies to the Adopters, Investors, and Wider Markets,” the event provided a platform for researchers to introduce their innovations and explore opportunities for technology adoption, commercialization, and wider market reach.
Dr. Bautista’s participation highlights how research and innovation can contribute to developing creative food products and exploring new opportunities for local enterprises. Her work also reflects the importance of connecting academic research with the needs of communities and potential consumers.
The initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through the promotion of research and innovation, and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, by encouraging the development of innovative products and opportunities for sustainable enterprise. These contributions align with ISU’s vision of becoming a SMART-Green University with a global reputation for positive societal transformation.
Through research, innovation, and technology transfer, ISU continues to strengthen the connection between knowledge generation and practical applications that can benefit communities and contribute to sustainable development.
