Roxas, Isabela | July 22, 2026 – Isabela State University (ISU) Roxas Campus welcomed faculty and student delegates from the Faculty of Animal Science and Technology of Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Indonesia, for an educational and community immersion visit under the Program KKN Doktor Mengabdi: International Community Development – Thematic SDGs.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the faculty, staff, and students of ISU Roxas Campus, led by Campus Administrator Atty. Romano P. Cammayo, DPA. The visit highlights the University’s commitment to internationalization by fostering meaningful academic partnerships, promoting cultural exchange, and strengthening collaboration among higher education institutions.
As part of their educational tour, the delegates explored the Old Site, Mid Site, and New Site of ISU Roxas Campus, where they visited the University’s state-of-the-art laboratories, specialized research areas, agricultural production units, and extension facilities. The tour highlighted the campus’ commitment to delivering quality education through modern facilities that support innovation, research, and sustainable agricultural development.
Faculty members and researchers introduced the delegates to the University’s research, extension, and innovation initiatives, demonstrating how ISU Roxas Campus transforms research into practical solutions that benefit farmers and local communities. The visitors also learned about the campus’ strong collaboration with Local Government Units (LGUs), national government agencies, farmers’ organizations, and industry partners, reflecting its shared commitment to inclusive and community-centered development.
The educational experience continued through visits to selected farms and agricultural facilities in Roxas and the neighboring municipality of San Manuel, Isabela, including G. Antonio Poultry Farm. These field visits provided the delegates with firsthand exposure to modern poultry production systems, farm management practices, and sustainable agricultural technologies while encouraging meaningful exchanges of knowledge and best practices with faculty members, students, local farmers, and community partners.
More than an educational tour, the visit showcased ISU Roxas Campus’ role as a center of excellence in agricultural education, research, and extension. The campus continues to champion initiatives that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting quality education, sustainable agriculture, innovation, and strong partnerships. It likewise advances the University’s vision of becoming a Smart Green University by integrating sustainability, innovation, and environmental stewardship into its academic, research, extension, and operational programs.
The activity also reflects the University’s commitment to the principles recognized by the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) by fostering innovation, global collaboration, industry and community engagement, and transformative learning experiences that create meaningful impact beyond the classroom.
Under the leadership of Atty. Romano P.
