In its continuing commitment to promote healthy and resilient communities, Isabela State University–Roxas Campus, in partnership with Community One Resources Development Inc. (CORD)—a non-profit organization recognized as the social development arm of the Community of Christ Philippines—is working to address the needs of residents of Roxas, particularly those identified as among the most vulnerable in the areas of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH), livelihood, food security, and health services.

As part of this initiative, CORD representative Mr. Roderick Campos met with Dr. Janet P. Cunanan, Director for Community Engagement of the ISU-Roxas Campus, to discuss the implementation of educational activities and various training programs. These initiatives aim to empower residents and strengthen the capacity of vulnerable communities in Roxas.

Campus dentist Dr. Evangeline P. Simon also joined the meeting to discuss matters related to the provision of dental and medical services by ISU.

Through this partnership, ISU-Roxas Campus and CORD seek to foster collaboration, promote community empowerment, and contribute to the development of a healthier and more resilient community.
