Roxas, Isabela – February 26, 2025 – In preparation for the upcoming 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration, themed “Babae Sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” Isabela State University Roxas (ISUR) Campus convened an advocacy meeting at the Sangguniang Bayan Hall of the Municipality of Roxas. The meeting was led by ISUR Campus Administrator Dr. Rosalyn L. Bautista and Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Person Assist. Prof. Joey C. Cereno, and included participation from various civil society organizations, government agencies, and GAD advocates.
Dr. Bautista opened the meeting with a powerful message highlighting the significance of Women’s Month and the crucial role women play in shaping society. She expressed her appreciation for the diverse participation from both public and private sectors and outlined the general objectives for the National Women’s Month activities.
Key discussion points during the meeting included a presentation by Mr. Cereno on the detailed plan for the proposed GAD activities scheduled throughout the month of March, emphasizing the specific roles and responsibilities of various agencies to ensure a successful and impactful celebration. Additionally, the Ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement Signing between ISUR and the partner agencies is set for March 31, 2025, marking a significant step in formalizing collaborations for the month-long celebration.
As the meeting concluded, both Dr. Bautista and Mr. Cereno expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all partner agencies for their support and collaboration in promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment.
