In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)—the Medical and Dental Unit of Isabela State University Roxas Campus, led by Head Nurse Rochelle Grace Parallag and Dr. Evangeline Simon, with the support of Campus Administrator Dr. Rosalyn L. Bautista, conducted a Medical and Dental Outreach Program on February 20, 2025, at Old Site Matusalem, Roxas, Isabela.

The outreach was made possible through a strong collaboration between health professionals, faculty, staff, and students, with key contributions from medical doctors of Medical Quezon General Hospital and the campus dentist from ISU-Ilagan. This initiative reflects ISU Roxas’ commitment to SDG 3, ensuring access to essential healthcare services and promoting overall well-being for all.

A variety of free medical and dental services were provided, including tooth cleaning, extractions, blood donation, and general medical check-ups. To further emphasize the importance of preventive healthcare, participants also attended an educational lecture on proper oral hygiene and health maintenance.

Beyond healthcare, the program also supported SDG 16, fostering inclusive, just, and peaceful communities by advocating for health as a fundamental right. Through SDG 17, ISU Roxas demonstrated the power of strategic partnerships, working with medical institutions and professionals to expand healthcare access, particularly to underserved communities.

This initiative reinforces ISU Roxas’ mission not only to provide quality education but also to promote holistic development, social responsibility, and community well-being. Through continuous health programs and blood donation drives, the university remains dedicated to building a healthier, more inclusive, and sustainable future for all.
