Isabela State University (ISU) Roxas once again affirmed its commitment to social responsibility and community engagement by actively supporting the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAWC) through an Arts and Storytelling for Adults and Children activity. The event is held in coordination with LGU Roxas and KALIPI–MSWD, bringing together various stakeholders in a unified effort to promote a violence-free society.

Aligned with the national observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End VAWC from November 25 to December 12, 2025, the activity highlights the power of creative expression as a tool for awareness, education, and empowerment.

Through arts and storytelling, participants—especially women and children—are provided a safe and engaging platform to understand their rights, share experiences, and cultivate values of respect, equality, and compassion.

The activity was conducted on December 9, 2025, at 8:30 AM at the Roxas Lingap Center for Children, Barangay Marcos, Roxas, Isabela. It supports the national advocacy of building a “United VAW-Free Philippines,” emphasizing collective action in addressing and preventing all forms of violence against women and children.

This initiative strongly reflects ISU’s Vision of becoming a leading research university in the ASEAN Region and its Mission of developing globally competitive human resources through quality instruction, innovative research, and responsive community engagement. By extending its services beyond the classroom and into the community, ISU Roxas demonstrates that education plays a crucial role in shaping socially aware and responsible citizens.

Moreover, the activity is consistent with the University’s Quality Policy, which underscores excellence in instruction, research, extension, and community development.
