ROXAS, Isabela – August 3, 2026 — Despite the continuous rains and inclement weather, the Isabela State University (ISU) Roxas Campus welcomed the month of August with enthusiasm and cultural pride through the simultaneous celebration of Buwan ng Wika and the ASEAN Celebration.

Students, faculty members, administrative personnel, and staff came together to mark the occasion, demonstrating that neither rain nor gloomy skies could dampen the spirit of the ISU Roxas community. Many participants proudly wore ASEAN-inspired attire, showcasing the rich and diverse cultures of Southeast Asia while promoting unity, respect, and appreciation for the region’s shared heritage.

The celebration also signaled the beginning of Buwan ng Wika, the annual month-long observance that honors the Filipino language as a cornerstone of the nation’s identity, history, and culture.
